This study looked at the effects of fiber on GI tolerance in healthy children. Participants consumed an FDA-approved fiber powder for a total of 40 days with breakfast. Parents or caregivers assisted the children with completing online questionnaires, 5 stool sample collections, and consumption of the study product in its entirety.
- Between the ages of 3 and 9
- Regular breakfast eaters
- Parents or guardians were present for the initial visit (identification was required)
- Collected stool samples, with assistance from parents or caregivers
- Were potty trained and had bowel movements at least every other day
